Hello and welcome to ReportifAI! My husband and I are the co-founders of this innovative platform, united by our shared passion for education and technology-enhanced learning. With my experience as a primary school teacher and my husband's background in higher education, we offer a unique blend of perspectives that drive our mission to revolutionise educational reporting.

Our Journey

As a primary school teacher, I understand the challenges and time constraints educators face, especially when it comes to creating end of year pupil reports. My husband, a University lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, shares my commitment to leveraging technology to improve educational efficiency. Our attempts to make the end of year reporting cycle more efficient began almost a decade ago. My husband assisted me in automating report-writing using Visual Basic scripts in MS Excel.

From these initial efforts, the seeds of ReportifAI were sown. Recognising the potential to expand and refine this early work into a comprehensive AI-powered solution, we embarked on a mission to develop a platform that would simplify and streamline the report generation process. Our shared vision and complementary skills laid the foundation for ReportifAI, empowering educators to focus more on nurturing student growth and fostering a love for learning through innovative technology.

Matthew - Co-Founder


Hello, I'm Matthew. I have a diverse academic background that spans both Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. I earned my MEng in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Manchester and went on to complete my PhD in Mechanical Engineering there.

After my doctoral studies, I broadened my research horizons working in the Materials Department of the University of California, Santa Barbara and as a Research Fellow at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, before joining Northumbria University, Newcastle in 2017. I am honoured to be a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. My research focus is on the mechanics of composite materials and advanced computational methods.

What really excites me is my interest in education research. I am passionate about blended learning and have been actively involved in developing technology-enhanced learning tools to aid in feedback for students. At ReportifAI, I apply my academic knowledge and teaching experience to enhance educational efficiency and promote technology-enhanced learning.

Sophie - Co-Founder


Hi, I'm Sophie! My journey in education began with a degree in Psychology from the University of Manchester. Inspired by my passion for understanding human behaviour, I pursued a PGCE in Primary Education at Manchester Metropolitan University.

After completing my NQT (Newly Qualified Teacher) year at a school near Manchester, I travelled with my husband to live in California and then took the exciting opportunity to teach in Melbourne, Australia, for several years. This international experience enriched my teaching methods and allowed me to connect with diverse groups of students.

Currently, I am on long-term supply at a primary school near Newcastle upon Tyne, where I continue to make a difference in the lives of young learners. My diverse educational background and hands-on teaching experience have equipped me with valuable insights into the challenges faced by educators, inspiring me to co-create ReportifAI with my husband to enhance educational efficiency and promote technology-enhanced learning.
